Antiquing in Lambertville

This weekend, my husband Pat and I took a ride out to Lambertville, NJ for antiquing followed by New Hope, PA for eating and drinking. We went to The People’s Store Antique Center, which is open until 6pm on Sundays, and is filled with multiple stories filled with independent sellers’ amazing finds.

The first photo I took, a foreshadowing of the parking ticket we received upon returning to our vehicle.

Some of my favorite finds:

Enormous and gorgeous Chinoiserie vase, $695

Taxidermy pheasant, I think he was $195

Tray inlaid with 100s of real butterfly wings. So so cool. I think it was around $200.

And the item I will dream about for the rest of eternity, and hopefully find at a Goodwill one day…

Italian Oggetti Porcelain Cockatoo, $695. Honestly not a bad deal based on what I’m seeing online. LOL.

What I ended up buying…

Pair of antique mushroom prints, double matted with tortoise-like frames. Around $90 for the pair. Will be putting them in our basement bathroom. They are so fun!

We rounded out our evening walking around New Hope, trying a couple different places for drinks before heading to Zoubi for our dinner reservation. It was AMAZING - everything from the atmosphere to the food and drinks was perfect. I really recommend checking this place out. It was a great way to spend a fall afternoon.

Spicy paloma for me, a scotch for Pat
