Tuesday sourcing trip to Goodwill
This morning, I had some free time after dropping off my kids at daycare and preschool. We have a bathroom renovation going on at one of our investment properties in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ so I headed down to check things out and start cleaning up, as the project is nearing completion. Some background: we purchased the home in May 2024, closing the Thursday before Memorial Day Weekend. It was already mostly rented for the summer, so we purchased it fully furnished to get us through the summer even though it was not exactly furnished to my taste :) The bathroom renovation was non-optional this fall as the bathroom floor was legitimately caving in.

On the way down, I had no choice but to stop at HomeGoods and Goodwill to source some accessories for the project. At HomeGoods, I found bathmat and shower curtain options and some candles. I was hoping for some fun art but had no luck there.
At Goodwill, first I donated some shoes before going inside. This location is in Ocean, NJ and is larger than the one closer to me but also way less organized. Once inside, I saw some gorgeous trunks that would be really cool as coffee tables. I may go back for the one I saw that was black leather with gold hardware because it might look great in this property and function as storage as well. I picked up the cutest vintage shell art piece for $3.99 with just the right amount of mold included. The rest of the art items were the wrong kind of tacky.

As I was rounding a corner to check out the lamps, a biiiiig porcelain vase caught my eye. She was pink, green, blue and an absolute stunner at $7.99. I found the same one in a different colorway selling on eBay for $90. FYI : this is a piece I will be keeping for myself.

After this adventure I went over to check in on the reno which was looking so cute. I got rid of a ton of trash on site to prep for the painter who is starting on Saturday. In the next week or two I will have some updates on the fully finished bathroom, and the rest of the unit with some new touches.
